I found this dealer yesterday because they have a Fiat 500 for 3k. All there cars seem to be $3,995 or less expect for this beautiful Maserati Quattroporte.
2007: 69,000 miles: $12,500

If it’s a good as it looks, then I’d say pretty NP, but there are a bunch of other things that could factor in.
Took a minute to check the reliability scores on this year. It seems it got a better automatic trans in 07, but still has a bunch of expensive repair issues. So maybe not so NP after all. The repair history would be one of those factors, then.

CP
these cars sucked even when brand new
Even if it was $3995 or less like the other cars it still wouldn’t be a good deal :/

If you can’t afford it new, you can’t afford it used.

One errant repair, and you could double the price of that car. Just sayin......

I would say worth it. If I could afford a 25k car, I'd buy this and save the savings for repairs.

I would love to be given a car like that. The car payment would just go to maintenance bills and i’d be fine with that.

If that’s the mindset going in, then I’d say go for it!

NP because ZF auto, not Ferrari F1. Get a good PPI and know that you’re gonna have to sink $2-3k a year into, but it’d be hard to beat the experience for the price.

That is what I am seeing from some of the comments. Many agree with me that it is NP, maybe it is hate or love . Some seem to think I am looking to buy this when I have a “3k Fiat” type budget.

2007 was the year the Quattroporte switched from the Duoselect transmission to the ZF. So check which one it has.
Duoselect = CP
ZF at that price = NP

I like it a lot. I haven't kept my eyes on the pricing on these, but for a ZF car, seems about right. A lot of car for the money, as long as the owner has a well funded maintenance account. Little things will go wrong or occasionally not work as intended, but that's part of the charm! I've spent 5 figures on worse things!

It’s at $10,500 on their website now. If PA wasn’t locked down and it wasn’t five hours away from me, I’d be buying it. As long as it’s a ZF, which i think it is.

Has the conventional automatic, but I’d bet there’s some other hidden gremlins at that price. Though PA B-lots can be really good, so sometimes you’ll luck out .

I just can’t I know people consider them good looking, but I think they are hideous. It’s like an Italian Buick.
